What are your opinions on PM Benchmarking and PROBE as reading assessments?

PM Benchmarking is limited to one schema. We know that if you don't have schema for a particular area or topic, your comprehension is limited. The Rikki Tikki Tavi PM text is a great example of this. In order to understand this text you have to understand that it fits within the Jungle Book, what a mongoose is, what a cobra is, that the mongoose is the predator, what happens when a mongoose attacks - that's the schema...
