My morning routine is taking longer than 30mins, but my students are still engaged and building lots of background knowledge. Is this okay?

Longer than 30mins is too long for Morning Routine. When you are starting out and you are building your understanding, confidence and routines it may take longer, however 30mins is what you should aim for. Some things you can consider are:

• stop at 30mins and pick up the next day where you left off
• set timers for yourself (set times for each quadrant)
• are you over planning, or doing too much in each quadrant?
