Why is 100 days of learning in Morning Routine at the start of the day? Is there a difference to doing it after lunch?

100 Days of Learning stemmed from Canada celebrating the first 100 days of school for kindergarten students. It morphed into anything mathematical relating to 100, not just counting 100 days. The idea is to help students to build maths facts to automaticity. Building mathematics concepts or vocabulary here take some of the load off in your maths lessons.

Morning Routine is at the start of the day because it gets students in a routine and ready to learn for the rest of the day. Morning Routine preloads learning, or is in service to, learning that will happen through the day or week.
