We teach synthetic phonics, but our school has PM readers. We don’t want to throw them away, so how can we still use them?

The best way we can answer this question is to encourage teachers to keep the novice to expert continuum in mind when selecting texts for reading. It depends on WHO you are teaching, HOW WELL they read, and WHAT you will be teaching. This will inform the texts you should select
Try to eliminate at least the levels 1-5. They rely heavily on the 3-cueing system
